24 Hours in Lembâna is a daily social choreography of residents in Lembâna, Sumenep. We call this repertoire a festival to mark that the gestures, movements, and activities of citizens are bound in space and time.
24 Hours in Lembâna is based on specific locations and linear time according to the activities of residents occurring in Lembâna. You will be invited to walk through the places that have been arranged based on the schedule of the residents to see the organic social choreography.
24 Hours in Lembâna is crucial not only because we want to see the choreography as a framework for viewing the geocultural aspects of Lembâna, but also as a research mode to study, explore, and map knowledge about the spatial quality of Lembâna, along with the values that operate within it.
