(b. 1990) is a writer and theatre director whose practice intersects with research and curatorial practice in performing and visual art field. He is particularly interested in the materiality of ordinary gestures and social repertoires that often go unnoticed, and in the spectrum (and frictions) between theatre/stage and everyday-life repertoires; choreography and vernacular movement; history and speculation; fact and fiction; and presentation and representation. His practice is grounded in contemporary Indonesia and informed by an ongoing engagement with vernacular cultures and the everyday lives of young people in Indonesia.

His works have been presented nationally and internationally through performing arts festivals, visual art exhibitions, and video art screenings. Alongside his artistic practice, he has worked extensively in curatorial and cultural production, including as Artistic Director of Festival Kebudayaan Yogyakarta (2024–2025); Associate Curator of Festival Komunitas Seni Media (2024–2025); Associate Curator and Researcher of Biennale Jogja 17 (2023); Curator of Festival Seni Pertunjukan Gugus Bagong, Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardja (2020–2022); and Producer and Artistic Lead of Babad Lembâna, Lembâna Artgroecosystem (2021–2025).

Shohifur is a founder, writer, and director of rokateater, a contemporary performing arts ensemble based in Yogyakarta; co-initiator of Lembâna Artgroecosystem, a collective and arts initiative rooted in village culture and local knowledge in Madura. He currently works as Network Coordinator at Garasi Performance Institute, a performing arts academy in Indonesia. He is currently a participant in Biotope (2026–2028), a three-year playwriting program initiated by Shizuoka Performing Arts Center (SPAC) and Japan Foundation.
