Midnight at The Nightclub is a dance performance (and video) that comes from an observation of body movements in the middle-class youth subculture at a nightclub in Yogyakarta. Through interviews and reenactment of their movements, this work not only tries to see nightclubs as a space to release and fantasize about freedom after their daily routine but also to see how the clubber bodies receive their everyday experiences through the practice of 'unstructured' choreography.
